Health centre staff prepare to move to their new premises

STAFF based at five GP practices are busy packing boxes as they get ready to move into their new home.
And the new home will have more facilities available for patients.
For they will soon be based at Townside Primary Care Centre, in Knowsley Street.
The two practices currently located at Ribblesdale Medical Centre, in Market Street, will move tomorrow and treat patients there from Monday.
Staff at Peel Health Centre, in Angouleme Way, will move there in the coming few weeks.
Anne Coates, director of strategy for NHS Bury, said: “Townside Primary Care Centre is a welcome addition to NHS Bury and a much needed new health resource in the town centre.
“I am delighted that the relocation of GP services from Ribblesdale Medical Centre and Peel Health Centre are now imminent, and that staff and patients are set to benefit from our modernisation of healthcare facilities for years to come.”
The new £10 million health centre covers 4,000 sq metres, over five floors and offers 70 clinical rooms.
It will provide a wide range of health and well-being services, including community services, and an on-site pharmacy.
