If you feel you need medical advice or treatment when the practice is closed you must telephone Durnford Medical Centre on either 0161 643 2011 or 0161 643 5960. An answering machine will advise you on the possible options, either to call an ambulance/attend an Accident and Emergency Department, attend an NHS Walk-in-Centre, contact NHS Direct on 0845 4647 or contact the Out-of-Hours GP Service. OUT OF HOURS MESSAGE Durnford Medical Centre is now closed until 8-30am of the next working day. If you have chest pain, difficulty breathing, sever abdominal pain or an injury please attend the nearest hospital Accident and Emergency department as soon as possible. If you have a dental problem please contact your dentist. If you would like medical advice please contact NHS Direct on 0845 4647. For advice or treatment between 8am and 10pm attend Bury NHS Walk-in-Centre Parsons Lane, Bury, or Rochdale NHS Walk-in-Centre Whitehall Street, Rochdale. If it is an emergency and you must talk to a Doctor, and you are unable to wait until Durnford Medical Centre is open please phone BARDOC on 0161 763 4242. All calls to this service are recorded. If it is neccessary to see a Doctor you will be asked to attend the "Primary Care Out of Hours Centre" at either Bury or Rochdale, and will be given an appointment. Please note all contacts to the "Out of Hours" GP Service are monitored and recorded, action will be taken if it appears anyone is mis-using the service. |
