We have a number of additional services available at The health Centre. Most of these are accessed via the reception desk and are appointment only:

Family Planning:

Our nurses are all fully trained in repeat prescribing for contraception and smear and swab taking which is done in their routine clinics.

If you would like to make an appointment for a coil fit, coil change or any other family planning issues, please can you phone and speak to the receptionists.

Travel Clinic:

Our nurses can attend to all your needs related to travel. They can provide advice and a full vaccination programme including yellow fever. An accelerated programme is available in cases where the travel is last minute and the usual timing is not appropriate. We also sell sterile eqipment for travel to HIV prevalent parts of the world.

The clinic is held on a Monday afternoon. Please make an appointment and be sure to give the receptionist full details so that a suitable programme can be prepared.

Childhood immunisation programme:

On a Friday afternoon we carry out routing childhood immunisations following government recommended guidelines. We are happy to discuss any concerns you might have prior to the clinic.

Programme:

2 months old - diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio, Hib and pneumococcal

3 months old - diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough,

polio, Hib and Meningitis C

4 months old - diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough,

polio, Hib, Meningitis C and Pneuomococcal

12 months Hib and Meningitis C

14 months MMR (mumps, measles, rubella) and Pneumococcal

preschool booster of diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio and MMR

15yrs booster of diphtheria, tetanus and polio
